LASER Talks in Melbourne, Australia:
What's AI ever done for you? A decade-long descent into machine learning. This event examines how AI has fundamentally altered our understanding of creativity and authorship, and how these systems are controlled by a handful of global companies who extract resources for profit.
Presented by Experiment 29 and The Leonardo/ISAST LASERs, a program of international gatherings that bring artists, scientists, humanists and technologists together for informal presentations, performances and conversations with the wider public. The mission of the LASERs is to encourage contribution to the cultural environment of a region by fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and opportunities for community building to over 60 cities around the world.
