Hyperrealia AR projects

Hyperrealia: Immersive Mixed Reality Interventions was a practice-led media art project exploring augmented reality (AR) as an artistic medium for activating cultural heritage objects. The project involved digitising and creatively activating archival artefacts to produce experimental AR experiences for public exhibition and engagement. Initial development focused on Australian GLAM partnerships expanding into international collaboration with the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney, and then the Art Research Centre at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto, Japan, producing AR works and publications.
